These are the simple terms for using Junipertale and ordering a book. We've kept them short and in plain language — by creating or buying a story, you're agreeing to what's below.

Who we are, and this agreement
Junipertale (“we”, “us” or “our”) creates personalized, illustrated storybooks that make your child the hero of their own adventure. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and Junipertale covering your use of our website and any book you create or purchase. If you don't agree with them, please don't use Junipertale. They work alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we look after your family's information.
Junipertale is for grown-ups
You must be at least 18 and using Junipertale as a parent or guardian, on a child's behalf. By creating a book you confirm you're the child's parent or guardian (or have their parent's permission) and that you're happy for us to use the few details you provide to make the story. Children should not use Junipertale on their own.
What you get
When you buy a book, you receive a personalized, AI-written and AI-illustrated storybook based on the details you give us — your child's first name, age range, a simple description of how they look, the theme and lesson you choose, and an optional dedication — delivered as a print-ready PDF you can download. The exact length and richness depend on the tier you choose (for example Classic or Premium), as described on our pricing page at the time of purchase.
A note on AI, and how your book will look
Every Junipertale book is created by AI writing and illustration tools. That means each story and its pictures are generated and unique, and the illustrations are a warm, stylized interpretation of the description you give us — they're artwork in our storybook style, not a photograph or an exact likeness of your child. AI can occasionally produce small quirks or inconsistencies between pages. We work hard to keep the hero looking like your child throughout, and if something doesn't feel right, our refund promise below has you covered.
Price, payment & delivery
Prices are shown on the site before you pay and are in US dollarsunless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider; we don't see or store your full card details. Once your payment is confirmed, we generate your illustrated book and make the print-ready PDF available to download — usually within a few minutes, occasionally longer at busy times. Your book is a digital product delivered electronically.
Our refund promise
We want you to love your book. If you're not happy with it for any reason, email us within 14 days of your purchase at hello@junipertale.com and we'll make it right or refund you — no fuss. Because each book is personalized and created just for you, this goodwill promise is how we handle refunds rather than a general right to change your mind, but we'll always be fair and reasonable about it.
Your book is yours to enjoy
The book we create is for your personal, family use — read it, treasure it, and print copies for your own household and as gifts to your heart's content. What you may not do is resell it, sell prints of it, or use it commercially. We keep ownership of Junipertale itself — our website, our storybook art style, our templates and the software that makes the magic — and nothing here transfers those to you.
Playing nicely
We ask that you use Junipertale honestly and lawfully: don't submit details about someone without the right to do so, don't try to make content that is unlawful, hateful, or harmful, and don't attempt to disrupt, copy or misuse the service. We may decline or remove a request, or pause an account, if it breaks these Terms or puts other families or the service at risk.
The honest disclaimers
We pour real care into Junipertale, but we provide the service “as is”: we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and AI-generated stories and pictures are creative works, not statements of fact. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for anything connected with Junipertale is limited to the amount you paid for the book in question, and we're not liable for indirect or unexpected losses. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that can't be limited by law.
Changes to these Terms
As Junipertale grows, we may update these Terms. When we do, we'll change the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Junipertale operates, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction. (We're finalizing our operating details and will confirm the specific governing law here shortly.)
